Minutes of the Referee Meeting

June 19, 2001

The meeting was called to order by Eduardo Rodriguez at 7:20 p.m.

New member, Lance Pillsbury was introduced to those present.

BOD/Committee Reports

Secretary: Minutes were to be posted on the web site. Waived reading of minutes.

Treasurer: Joe Puliti provided Status of checking and savings account. Checks for payment to referees at CVU tournament were handed out.

Standards Committee: Chairperson Not present. Waived report.

Assignor: Association has four fields for Eagles Cool Classic tournament July 6, 7, 8. Please check e-mails for any last minute assignment changes

New Business: State Youth Camp three youth referees will attend.

State Mentor Program youth referee candidates will be recommended based on field evaluations. VCRA Mentor Program will be available for youth and new referees. A program plan is being put together. Entry Level Referee Clinic will be held July 21 & 22 at Camarillo High School from 8am to 5pm. Cost is $35 payable to CYSA-S.

Tournaments: San Luis Obispo Tournament will be held Aug. 4/5. Contact Don Ramsey Referee Assignor ramsayd@ccaccess.net if interested in any games. Santa Barbara Tournament will be Aug. 18/19 (up to U14) and Aug. 25/26 (U15 & above).

Training: Referee Supplemental Report is to be filled out and sent into League if there is any injury, Special circumstance (fight, etc) or any ejection(s). On the games report (that coach’s sign at end of game); indicate that a Supplemental Referee report will follow. A copy of the referee Supplemental Report is required to be sent to Ventura County Referee Assignor/Standards Committee if there is an ejection. The report should set the stage to describe the events that lead up to the ejection, or special circumstance. Eduardo Rodriguez moved to adjourn the meeting and the motion was seconded. The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
