11.     The Annual General Meeting will be held in February 2001.  Officers to be elected this year include President, Secretary and Standards Committee Chairman.

12.     Lou Mages reported that the Trail Board has taken a strict approach to violent conduct and referee assaults.

13.     The Chair, on behalf of the Scheduler, reported that the Members commitment and availability to the Association is necessary in order to adequately staff games.  It is understood that individuals assigned by a higher authority (such as college games) or individuals with other duties (such as coaching) will have prior commitments.  Members are requested to avoid conflicts with other referee associations, particularly at this time of year when we have a full schedule of youth games and we are beginning men’s league play.  In the event you must decline a game, please due so with a specific response to indicate whether you must decline all games for a given day or if you simply can not fill the time slot indicated.  To decline a game, you must, according to the By-Laws do so prior to the 48 hour window prior to the assignment.  Future games will be assigned based upon those individuals who make themselves available on a consistent basis.  Your cooperation is requested.  NOTE:  The person who turns down the most assignments will be appointed as Scheduler for the next season.

14.     Larry Lindsay’s training included (a) referee conduct in dealing with coaches and spectators and (b) discussion on the Long Beach injury incident.

15.     The next meeting will be November 21, 2000.

16.     The meeting was adjourned at 8:59 PM.
