Next Meeting

The next meeting will be held at 7 PM on Thursday, August 19th, 2010.

August Training Topic: “TBD”

Instructor: TBD

Instructional Materials:  TBD

Each grade 8 referee is required to attend a minimum of 5 hours of training each year to qualify for recertification for the next year.  Referees that are Grade 5 through Grade 7 are required to attend 10 hours of training per year.  Each SCSRA-Ventura meeting satisfies one hour towards required training.

Cal South has established minimum training requirements per year to ensure that recertifying referees our referees are current with the latest trends in game management as well as the latest changes to and interpretations of the Laws of the Game.  Training session materials will include US Soccer directives, memorandums, position papers, and recent amendments to the Laws of the Game.

Attendance is recorded at each meeting to document each referee’s training credit.  We need to know your USSF ID number to ensure that you can get this credit.  If you are a member of our organization we ask that you include your USSF number in your personal information within Arbiter.  Enter your USSF ID number in the “Official Number” slot on your personal information page in Arbiter.  Only designated board members and assignors have access to this information.  Visiting referees should bring their USSF ID card to the meeting so they can include their number on the attendance sheet that is then forwarded to Cal South where all So Cal training records are maintained.

Contact a Board Member if you have any questions.
